Covid-19 policy

Following the national changes, in regards to Covid-19, we are implementing new ways of working, as well as new terms & conditions, so that we’re able to continue delivering the high levels of customer service that you expect and have been used to over the years. Please note that if, for whatever reason, the government and/or our industry changes restrictions or puts further advice place which results in your appointment being postponed we will automatically move your appointment to the same time, the following month. We will then inform you of this change by email and/or text message

5 November 2021

Following the arrival of the covid-19 vaccine and the relaxation of national rules and guidelines we, too, have now relaxed our policy at the studio. Unless there are any further lockdowns we will now be keeping to the following:

  • Larger family groups, from different households are now welcome to join us for their family portrait experiences at the studio and on location

  • Sanitiser stations are being kept in the studio however we will leave it to client’s discretion as to whether to use them or not

  • Refreshments are now being served in mugs, cups and saucers and our full selection of Twinings tea is now back on offer (hurray!) We’re thrilled to welcome back our complimentary cake and upgrades of afternoon teas should our clients wish to order one

  • Shoots and viewings will still be happening on the same day, following feedback from clients

  • We will still be asking clients to let us know when they’d like to collect their finished pieces, including prints, wall art and USB’s however we will now be able to book up to two appointments within the same 15 minute period for collections

  • Our cleaning schedule will be staying however a thorough disinfect of the studio (including light switches, door handles, hangers and seating areas) will now only be happening twice a week. Please note the props which are handwash only are still being kept in storage, for now

Please note that if the tiered systems are brought back into force we will be bringing back the following policies with immediate effect:

• Only the parents and the child(ren) being photographed will be allowed at the premises. No extended family members will be permitted onsite, either inside or out

• Where possible we will only be photographing groups of people who live within the same household

• Please note that, when being photographed, we will ask for any PPE based equipment to be taken off. Unless you feel it is necessary, we kindly ask that mouth coverings, including scarves and masks aren't worn as James is partially deaf and, at times, depends on lip reading.

• Refreshment facilities, including tea and coffee, will be provided in sealed packaging which you are welcome to open and serve yourself, from.

• We will be doing both the shoot and viewing session on the same day to minimise the amount of people coming to the studio at different times

• All collections, of products, must be pre-arranged via an evening appointment so that those having shoot have had ample time to have their experience and leave the premises before another client arrives. When collecting, we ask that you stay in your car at all times. A separate email will be sent out, outlining how a collection process will happen, for those involved

• A thorough clean will be done daily, to minimise the potential spread of corona virus. • Shoot consultations will be done by phone or Skype/Facetime up to a week in advance of your shoot. This is so that we have enough time to prepare the props and backgrounds that may be needed for your shoot
