“I’ve been a professional photographer for 20 years… I was two years into a Geography degree when I realised colouring in wasn’t for me!
I chose to travel the world and discovered my love of photographing people.

I landed back in the UK I enrolled on an arts foundation course and subsequently when on to study Fine Art Photography.

My love of people found me learning the realm of portrait photography via Olan Mills before opening a small chain of highstreet studios, Firefly Photography, which ran for ten years.

Getting married, growing a family and a couple of medical needs later, we chose to shut the highstreet business down, relocate and go back to my roots of working getting to know people through the lens. It took 3 years thanks to a cowboy builder, two floods, an endangered bat but I’m now thrilled to invite you to my home at Studio1825.”

Have we met, before?
The family who wants to capture the moment? Oh, the milestone birthday? A soon to-be mum. A dad with limited spare time. That last minute anniversary gift which you almost forgot?
Don’t worry - we’re here. And we will help you every step of the way.

“My camera allows you to ditch the humble selfie, along with its elongated arms, thumbed corners and half chopped heads so everyone is able to be included in imagery that will spark stories, giggles and warmth for years to come.”
James, photographer
